Litermeter for automatic water changes

I confess I love to fittle with things and I'm exploring doing automated water changes as that is one of the last things which I do manually.

I've read a few forums posts on using the litermeter to faciliate this and seem as people who have do it are general pleased with the results. Does anyone here on NJReefers have this set up? With the group buy coming up I'm hoping to take advantage of any discount. The pumps are expensive...

I am using the LiterMeterIII and I like it,
I have a friend using the BubbleMagus (cheaper in price), and he like it too.
If you have MeterLiterIII question, please let me know.

Do you use it for water changes?
If so, does the new water come in at the same time as the old water?

I'm wondering because I would have to turn off the ato to do this.

haha... I have a LONG conversation with Peter (fisheye), and he convince me it is no need to turn off the ATO, is is kind of complicated to explain in words...
i will PM you my phone #, call me and i can explain the details on the phone.

this is my hookup/setup (i have 400g of water volume)
- pump A: drain old salt water out (2gal daily)
- pump B: refill new salt water in (2gal daily)
- pump C: NOT hookup (will connect some time in the next two weeks, to drain Kalk reactor into sump, to prevent overdose, this will not setup as ATO)
- Maxijet connect to an ATO switch and is always on to pump in fresh CATI-ANI (RO/DI) water. (see below)

as long as both pumps can work at the same time, then yes no need to turn off the ATO. I just haven't found anything to say this. I guess if the amount out is small, the effects would be minimal.
