Live rock wall

So I have noticed alot of tanks will have a wall almost the the top of the tank (in nano) and against the side glass, and fill up as much as half the tank. My question is...the glass on the sides, how is it cleaned or is it just left there to grow algae and coralline? I dont see how its possible to clean that area with all the rock. Thanks

When I first setup my nano I had the rocks close to the walls and it was a pain to clean. When the tanks crashed we reaquascaped to allow room around the rocks to clean. The only wall I don't really worry about it the back wall. With a nano it is tougher due to the size limits and requires a lot of patience and balancing to get it all just right. Cleaning around rocks can be a PITA.

Yea thats what I figured, I have always left room with my nanos...just never really looked into how ppl did it with the clean glass and rock all over it. Thanks for the input tho guys
