Livestock Transfer question

The cycle in my 90 is almost complete and I have to figure out the best way to transfer all livestock from my 44 to the 90. No rock or sand will be making the trip, only fish, coral, and inverts. From what I've read is that the usual way is to remove everything to holding tank/buckets, aclimate, then add. Right?

Now, i'm in no rush to do this so my plan was to bring water chemistry between the two tanks to the same lvl's by switching 1-2 gals water between them for a couple of weeks. Then I could, in theory I could just pull from the 44 then add right to the 90. Right? am I overthinking this. I figure less stress this way, since only one movement for each fish instead of multiple. Is this sound logic here? Thanks in advance for the assist.

I'd say if your parameters are the same between the two (mainly, salinity, temp and PH), then I wouldn't even bother. I'd just move them over. The less stress the better. And if the cycle is complete on the new tank, the water will most likely be healthier than the old anyway, so long as the salinity, ph and temperature match as close to exactly as possible, it should be no different than a big water change.

Just test the Ph if it is the same then you should be ok, oh and the temp. If they are different which they many since new tank, then I would drip them.

But i agree with mfisher2112, if parameters are very close just move them. I actually move stuff from my tank to my daughters without acclimating and never had an issue..

Thanks guys. That seems to be the norm across the boards. Temp/Ph/Salinity. This is gonna make it so much easier

Corals would be ok temp acclimate them if needed. Fish and inverts I would drip acclimate. The only time we don't is when the water and rock from our existing system is going into the new system.
