I am thinking of picking this up. My questio. Is can I make side shorter?
My overflow is in back left and want to improve it.

yes, they can be manipulated relatively easily. there is a tool that makes it easier, but not 100% necessary.

Can also grab a 2 pack of these to insert in each return series and you can adjust as you need.
 
If it’s not real Locline it comes apart very easy, but if it’s real Locline it’s a little harder to take apart but doable.

get the random flow generator they work great. I stopped buying loc line a long time ago.

Here is a crude diagram of what I want to accomplish.
Tanks measures 48' long x 24" width x 16" high

The bule line is current tube from return pump, red arrows are current power heads.
I want to remove the left power head and blue return line with the green line.
Green line would be the new loc line splitting the flow.
