I’ve purchased the Chinese knock-off loc line from ebay. I’m happy with the quality of their products. I will tell you that they have a total disregard for US patent law…they actually use our patents as their new product ideas. That is definitely the case with Loc Line as well….that is one of the reasons it is so cheap from China.
The China loc line is just fine and marries well we US purchased “real” loc line. I purchased actual Loc Line threaded fittings to mount the China stuff and it worked just fine. My only concern is that, having worked with plastic companies in China, I know this plastic product is loaded with heavy metals…cadnium and lead, to mention two that I saw regularly in the plastic I was sourcing. Wash you hands after handling this stuff. About you fish and corals, I would imagine the GFO (and maybe carbon as well), pick this stuff out of your water.
