Looking back....

So I started reading my own "Tale of the Tank" thread and realized how much of a putz I was back then when I first joined. Whether it was not taking advice from some of you or jumping the gun on things everyone said not to or whatever the case had been.

Since I've been redoing my tank the past few months, I've grown to really understand a lot of things. Especially patience lol feels better to take my time with things, but then again that can also be a money issue thing lol :)

I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you to all the members that have reached out to help me along with all of this. And I'm sorry to any member that felt like I was being rude with them or not taking their advice. I've only been on this forum for a couple years but its definitely changed me for the better.

Thanks and I hope I continue to get awesome advice from everyone!

Ahh advice, the easiest thing to give an the hardest thing to take. We've all been there making mistakes are an inevitable part of the hobby. Look at it this way at least you've turned a corner and are heading in the right direction now.

This is a good group of people so I wouldn't worry about hurting anyone's feelings by not taking their advice. I haven't met anyone on here yet that was an "I told you so" kind of person.

Well not necessarily a "told you so" person but I have a feeling if u rub some people the wrong way, they tend to not interact with u as much as others do, so I guess i was just trying to clear the air :)

Hard to comment without sounding either rude or like a butt kisser. Sooo take it the right way, complementary, that you have become a much better reef keeper for sure. Happy for you and your fish. :applouse:

We were all putz's when we started in this hobby, and starting off wrong is basically how you earn your colors in this hobby. The important part is you learned from it and made the changes that were necessary.

I remind myself what my dad always said, education costs and the best lesson learned is the one you paid for....dearly!
