Looking for a strong pump that can push water up one level…. Approximately 40 feet total

For about 18 months I was using a mag 9.5 to pump up water from my 1st floor, to my tank, which is on the second floor. I do 15 gallon weekly water changes and the mag 9.5 worked fairly well. Than the impeller broke and I replaced it and it worked fine for about three weeks. Than today it didn’t want to pump up the water again!!!

What pumps are out there that are not overly expensive and can pump up water a to a second floor?

thanks

Not sure what your budget is, but I'd take a look at the Reeflo high pressure pumps. If you were using a mag 9.5, a Swordtail should be more than sufficient.

I also used this

Cheap, worked well but noise (a grumbling noise).

I have also elevated the sump level from the floor, easier to maintain and less head pressure.

The blue line of pumps at Champion Lighting have been working good for years. I’m using the 55 hd in a basement sump. I’d see what Raffle King his thought. He’s mr. equipment.

Another frustrating water change today. I ordered a Rio 20 HF pump that should push 1290 GPH. The plan was to only use this pump to shoot the water upstairs and I would use the mag 9.5 to mix the salt.

When I plugged the pump in it only moved the water about halfway up my stairs. So I got my mag 9.5, the one that didn’t work for the last water change and it shot the water right up to the tank just like it use too.

So the rio pump is going back to Amazon tomorrow and I’m still wondering why the mag 9.5 doesn’t want to work all the time.
