Looking for Advice on Custom Tank

I'm not trying to start anything either. But the survival rate of anemones in aquariums is extremely low and magnifica is the worst of them all. In 20 years in the hobby I've only seen 3 for sale and 2 of them were dying. I would love to see a setup that can successfully keep one since it was the reason I got into the hobby in the first place.

Next time were at a meeting ive got tons of links and books with wild Mags. I see them all the time around this time of the year.

A month ago every pet store in North Jersey had at least 2 or 3 with 1 or possibly two that didnt look stressed and had a closed mouth..

They usually only come in late july and august after the mass spawnings. It takes about 2 -3 years for them to get to 5 or 6 inchs.

Mst setups have a large rock formation that has about 5- 10 inches of clearence depending on power of the light. They place the Mag on the lower portion and turn on the MH they usually if healthy will start to move up once they feel the light.

Some people in anemone and clownfish forum on RC have some bad ass set ups for thier mags. Most have had them a really long time.

Mags dont slpit like BTA's maybe everyone once in awhile they just die when stressed.

Thats why i said mag for my breeder, I know i can keep superb water quality and the depth is enough where they nem could get so much light i wouldnt have to worry.

A carpet is another good choice but them i would have to put it directly in the center and keep the rock formations out to the edge.

My RBTA is like 12 inchs now and eats everything from silver sides to formula 1.

I will def bring some books i have a new one by called Ocean that has a beautful mag pic.
