I really like the wartskin anglers so I've been reading up anglers for the past few months. One common thing among everything I've read is that anglers will try to every fish kept with them no matter how big. I've read many accounts of anglers dieing from trying to eat fish bigger than themselves and choking on the catch.
It's recommended that anglers be kept in a species tank by themselves and fed sparingly with grass shrimp or small guppies.

Are you kidding me???? You actually thought you could keep that little gobie in there with that angler? I thought you were trying the feed the angler a gobie. You might want to consider doing some research before you purchase a fish. Good luck keeping any fish in that tank.

Good luck Sandee. I have always wanted one of these and see at least one or two of them at Hidden Reef every time I visit there. Fascinating fish.

The Angler is super cute Sandee, congrats on your new baby!

There was a really interesting article in CORAL magazine last month by a woman who is successfully keeping an Angler with another fish and with inverts- apparently the Angler's tank mates in the article are faster than the Angler is and neither she nor the Angler can catch them.

Ha, I love the internet tough guys. There was better ways of going about that. Anyway, I had luck getting my clown gobies out of my tank by placing some sps on a frag rack, then netted from there. They were constantly perching on mine and I had no polyp extension. That is, if the clown goby isnt food.

Not a tough guy just dont like when people get animals they really don't know much about. Its actually ashame that the store, it was purchased from, did not really explain that better.

That's the whole point of this club. We help each other learn to keep these animals alive. Its kind of like when you lost all your fish with ich\Velvet. The Store should have explained that you need to QT. We are all in this boat together and should treat each other like Friends cause you never know who will teach you or be there to lend a hand when you need help.

your "criticism" is neither constructive and neither are your bizarre references to clothing. I don't know why you feel it so vital to attack people. It really does no purpose other than possibly to drive people away from looking for help on this board. Why post if all they are going to get is a lecture?

However the last post (which was pulled) and this recent one shows a remarkable lack of sensitivity and judgement.
