Low nitrates high phosphates

My nitrates are about 2.5, my phosphates were 4.9 a week ago- I started running PhosGuard and now they are at 4.0- my corals (softies) and fish are fine- was told on R2R not to chase numbers- should I leave things be, or is there anything I can do to get my numbers more in line

To really bring your phosphates down you will need to raise your nitrates. Once they are raised it will be alot easier to lower the phosphates.

You only have softys and lps so no reason to try to be too low in nutrients at least you have algae problems. But if you want to really bring them down just take it slow!
