Low Price IO & RC Salts

Bob, thanks for the heads up. I'm in need of salt, and an unnamed LFS in north Jersey use to have IO for $35 for 200g box. When I call they told me it's now 55. Even though Something Fishy is a drive for me, buying 5 or 6 boxes makes it worthwhile. Thanks again.

Paul,

The reefer I was with bought 4 boxes...

Check out the urchin in the display tank across from the check-out counter. I haven't seen one like it in many years. If I remember correctly, it is the same one that caused a friend to think he was having a heart attack when intense pain shot up his arm after he tried to brush it aside while cleaning his tank.

Also, they've got some cheap Tridacna Clams. Not especially gorgeous, but cheap.

Heading there tomorrow. I called to check that they had the inventory....and they did. And I'll definitely check out the whole store.

Thanks again.

I thought I might have found some genuine Fiji Sarcophyton Elegans there yesterday, but they came from Australia. They had frilly edges, and were yellow, but not nearly yellow enough.

For the southern people Hidden Reef has boxes of IO for $37. Not sure on RC

Perhaps the additional shipping costs, that were blamed on Covid's causing supply chain issues, as well as inflated shipping weight cost issues, are now actually subsiding... I hope so ~ wouldn't that be nice!

Twenty-odd years ago, before the fire in the Chinese Restaurant next door to their previous location that shut them down for 2 or 3 years, I would drive down to The Hidden Reef to save big bucks on boxes of the Crystal Marine salt (that I was using at the time), as well as picking up other brands of salts for some of my local reefer friends here in Northern NJ.

Went to Hidden Reef today and picked up a 200 gallon bag of Red Sea salt for $52. BRS sells them for $79.

Great price! If they still have a placard posted with their salt prices, please shoot a photo next time you go down and post it on our site.

Thanks...

I didn’t see a placard I asked the girl at the desk when I was checking out and she told me so I went back and got a bag. The 150 gallon buckets are $57.

Thank you for your efforts! I'd just hoped I'd found a simple solution for multiple product prices there.
