Macro algae grow tank

There has been high demand on macro from friends, fellow reefers, local fish stores, and eBay...so I decided to try and make a macro grow tank. If I don’t sell my house soon this may end up as the beginning of another system.

any questions let me know, pretty straight forward.
55 gallon drum that I cut the top out of.heavy duty tote as sump.650 return pump.2 1” overflows. Kessil h380 on for 18 hours a day right now. Some liverock and marine pure.Heater and filter sock!

I will be adding snails this week! Currently growing dragons breath and chaeto.

I’ve seen people selling a quarter size frag of macro for $40...that’s insane.

A big reason that people buy from the companies is to get clean macro from a fish-free system, guaranteed to be pest-free. If you can get something like that going, you'll have people lining up to buy.
