Macro Pictures: Red Bubble Algae nipped in the bud

After my last odd encounter my eyes was set in weird mode.. last night with magnifying glass in hand I was giving my tank a good looking over ( more then norm) and to my surprise and horror I saw one tiny red bubble behind my pulsing hand xenia on closer inspection there was three so tonight I decided to remove them with a sharp screwdriver I chipped part of the rock away making sure none of the root was left and none of the bubbles popped.. In the end there was five hiding

I didnt know about the new pennies. I did see red bubble algae for the first time the other day on one of my rocks. Only two bulbs (as far as I know).
