Bare bottom
25# base and live rock

Equipment:
Upgraded media baskets (with marine pure plates cut to fit lower chambers)
Hydra 26HD on AI bar arm mount (12" above waterline)
Stock pump (replacing with Rio 1100 382gph this week)
Aqueon 100 Pro heater (need to build a controller via Paul's links (thanks Paul))
Finnex hang on fuge with Fugeray LED
DIY nano algae scrubber (Nano upflow scrubber ($10 - $40))
IM Ghost skimmer (running occasionally atm, want to keep a mildly dirty tank)

Nice!!! Ive grown to like a shallow tank... The top down views are awesome and I like that I can reach the bottom In less than elbow deep water.

Here's the Jawbreaker, its grown maybe 3-4mm in the past year, but it has spawned 3 kiddies (visible in the rock crevices)...

Why did you add sand? Didn’t like the B.B. look?

Like the BB look but hate that during the odd diatom outbreak they practically glue themselves to the bottom glass, creating a gunky brown slimy look.
With the sand I can gently circulate with a turkey baster and the sand turns over.
If the tank is pristine, I do like the BB, but more oft than not there's detritus and some form of algae that takes hold.

Seriously I think I have about 50 pounds in a 25 shallow.
