Meaning of an RC Warning?

I just received a “warning” from RC for putting a post in the wrong forum….put a question about an LPS ID in “LPS Keepers” instead of the subforum, “LPS Identification,” which, in my haste, I didn’t notice.

I found the warning rather juvenile and insulting, but I don’t know what it means. I don’t want to ask this over there, because it seems they get their panties tied up in a knot too easily, and then I’d be out. So what does a warning on RC mean?

I put a Zoo identification in the wrong forum as well. It was in a ZOO Forum but they have the equivalent of like a sticky for identification. Problem is that it is ABOVE where the normal forums are and you easilly miss it thinking its the not often used menu.

basically its a warning that you did something bad. it does not carry any weight. an Infraction is like 1 point that goes away after a while. get 5 of them you get banned.

I got a warning and apologize because i didn't know. the Mod got all pissy with me and I was like DUDE.. i'm not flaming you or nothing I just don't think its an appropriate response for someone making a honest mistake. I've been a member there with thousands of posts for YEARS and never got one so I'd like to think that means something..

unfortunately RC mods are power tripping floppy donkey ichs. what can you do.

Wow you got a warning,I hope this doesnt go in yr permanent record..:p If you continue to do things like this you can be banned.Try to make better decisions in the future,Im really surprised at you Paul....lol

In vBulletin, "a warning carries no points as it only serves to remind an user of your forum rules."

If I'm not mistaken, we have a reciprocal arrangement with them, so consider yourself warned here as well!

Oh guys - i should just point out we should avoid outright flaming other forums here. I know we are all tempted to but I think that kind of conversation should be held at a meeting or over the phone etc. I know I wouldn't be happy to be reading about people bashing NJRC on the RC forums so vice versa should apply. I'm not saying the original poster crossed the line (not at all). But I can see this thread going downhill rapidly/people piling on.

So here's to civil discourse without flaming...(imagine if we had REAL SMILEYS - like two toasting a beer).

I just looked at your avatar over there and your fishies are wearing dunce caps!

Actually Don, go to the OP and in the lower right corner you will see a “yellow card,” when passed over, it states “Received Warning.” So they have to announce to the world that I’m an idiot, and that I mistakenly posted in the wrong place.

What's the problem, are we no good for you???? LOL

But Don, if you were there, I don’t see an answer to my question on my RC post by you???

John, had a good laugh on this one! I guess my life is over.

I got a rather snotty warning of there for a post of mine in which I wrote the more colorful version of the word "crap". I get the fact that it's a family website, and my language in person, and typwritten is certainly not "pg" but I didn't need the jerky insults in the warning. LOL

I just saw who the mod was that moved your thread and I got one from him too because I had a hyperlink in my signature for my build thread on their site. its not like I was directing people to a totally different site....it was bringing them right back to rc.
