Brian...I have no clue!! And testing the water would have been useless as they had already started to decay.
It was so depressing walking into the basement today to work and there being nothing left. No fish swimming, no lights glaring, no sounds of water, no VorTech noise....no nothing. Very Very depressing!

Mine too, Christmas morning. Fish and cuc fine but all sps dead or dying

Do you know what the water temp was when you got there, possible heater failure?
Stray voltage.....check it with a VOM/Multimeter.
Ugh, sorry to hear that Steve. You've been thru enough already so this must have been really tough to deal with.

You do want to check your equipment for stray voltage before you reset. All overnight is drastic. Electricity is one of the few things I could come up with that could do that. Or a heater but you had good water temp.....
