Microns??

Not a stupid question, It took me years to figure out and remember. The smaller the number the smaller the particle size....100 micron will filter out more than 200.

This is the reason I am trying to find a 25 micron sock to polish my water when needed.

Like I said, It just polishes the water I'd put it on for an hour or two if I stir things up and want to clear the water column quickly.

Just keep in mind if you use smaller microns and do not (as taz is doing) use them briefly only - then it will get gunked up very quickly if just left there.

fyi - for my rotifer cultures, the micron size I use is 53 to harvest.

i really need to get more filter bags. Been busy... :p

I bought 100 Micron socks not to long ago and no I am cleaning them every 2 days....It's ridiculous!! I just ordered 200 micron socks...hopefully they will last longer.

you should get a 5 to really polish the water.. i had one dunno what i did with it. that's the smallest i know of
