Mike's 315 Gallon Build

I finished up floating canopy and got the lights hung yesterday afternoon. I'm running three 250 watt radiums and four 80 watt t5's (3 blue plus and 1 Fiji purple). I absolutely love how the radiums look and am just using the t5s for dusk/dawn effect. I may grab a few actinic bulbs to try out.

sounds like a change to me.......

Here comes the picture police. :) Was going to try for some video tonight and then the Flyers happened.

I'm not much of a hockey fan but using the flyers as an excuse is pretty lame. You should have said that there was a badminton tournament on or you were watching a cooking show but the flyers....not good. I should have asked you some additional questions before selling you the tank. :)

Thanks Steve I'm pretty happy with how the canopy came out. I was using it as a test for style that I'm going to use to skin the stand. It passed the wife test so that project is next.

I'd be more than happy to come down next winter and take care of that for you. :) Another winter like this one and we may be neighbors.

Wow nice. I'm considering doing an open look like that with my tank now that my corals are out. Not sure if 18" deep will make it look nice or not

Very nicely done. I love the minimal rock work. Fish look awesome, nice and healthy. Not that it's doesn't look great now, but once it's grown in its going to be a real show stopper. Can't wait to see more.
