No issues. Have to set the time calibration to utc -4 and it works perfectly. I bought mine from joker corals for $250 shipped. You can get it cheaper on Ali baba. I didn’t go that route in case it sucked and I wanted to return or worst case challenge payment with amex.

@diana a , by chance do you have an Ecotech MP40? What I'm interested in is whether or not a Jecod wetside would work with an Ecotech dryside. I've already seen that a Jecod dryside will work with an Ecotech wetside, but I'm interest in the reverse. I'm done buying Ecotech wetsides....I think I have eight dryside Ecotechs but now only running four, because Ecotech wetside just don't last. I could handle it when wetsides were $75, but they are now in the $91 range, and seem of poorer quality from years past. I'm hoping that arrangement works and I would eventually be able to purchase Jecod wetsides.....for a reasonable amount of money. Even if I got a couple years out of a Jecod wetside, I'd be happy.

I saw a video somewhere that said the jebao wet side works with ecotech dry side. Ecotech really shot themselves in the foot with their pricing.

I’ve been using the AiPai A7 Kessil clones for over a year now as supplemental lighting on my tank, and they’ve worked great. The initial setup was a bit challenging, but once everything was running, it’s been smooth sailing. I considered switching to the A8se Radion clones, but honestly, I ran Gen 5 Radions before and wasn’t that impressed. If they had a Gen 4 clone, I might have been tempted.

At this point, just buy what you can afford. The hobby has become so expensive, and most “name brand” companies are now under the same corporate umbrella, so real competition and innovation have slowed down.

Aside from my Apex controller and Orphek main lights, most of my gear is Jebao/Jecod or budget-friendly alternatives.

Remember, it’s not our responsibility as consumers to worry about patents. Let the companies’ well-paid lawyers handle that. Do what works best for you and your budget!
