So I was on vacation in Nashville from Wed to yesterday. When I was at the airport on Wednesday morning, my apex sent me an alert. When I looked at the app, it said my Cor20 was DRY. I first thought maybe it's a glitch since I haven't updated it in a while. Then after checking my cameras, I noticed the water level was a little lower. So of course I turned off the pump. Every day, several times a day, I would check the camera to make sure the fish were swimming, as well as turn the Cor 20 on and off to see if there were any changes to the water movement. Thank goodness i have 5 powerheads in this tank. 4 MP40s and. NERO 7. When I came home yesterday I went to check on everything, and all was well. All fish and corals were fine. One mp40 was on top of my ATO container, and the wet side was on top of my birdsnest colony. Landing on the ato container saved the mp40 magnet from breaking. I then removed the pump, took it apart, and cleaned it. Still nothing. I installed my old Reef Octo varios, which turns out wasn't working either! So i made a quick call to Will at aqua ob since hes the closest, and ran over to grab a new pump. If it wasn't for all those ppwerheads, my fish might be dead from lack of water movement and oxygen. Now I gotta call neptune tomorrow and see what they can do about this pump. Oh and the smell coming from the tank was horrible, since the sump basically had death all in it with movement. Lesson learned, now i will always have a backup pump ready to go in case of emergencies.
