This use to be a plant tank then I took the plunge.
I hit up Midnight Madness and got salt, a abg of live sand, 20 lbs of live rock, Coralife superskimmer 65, Seio M820 PH and MaxiJet 900 PH

A week later I added a CUC
Then another week a ocillaris clown
Next week a cherub angel, Blue shrooms, some zoos, and a torch coral
Following week a Cleaner shrimp

The tank had cyled fast and I have been watching the testes everything has been going well

My torch wasn't looking good so I mooved it (thought it was getting beat up by the Powerhead current
I wound up loosing that a few days later and found my cleanershrimp laying next to it.

I have switched to using only RO and havent had too much algea. I am starting to get a little purple and some neon green on my rocks. My shrooms have definatley gotten bigger and I now have a few noo zoo polyps.
I will try to update weekly.
If you have any question about succh a big skimmer it is because I didn't want to buy another one in a year when i go a little bigger. I also do not have a sump, I have a ehiem professional II Cansiter filter and i put my UV inline with that.
I also added a long nose hawkfish this week.

Right now I have a 65w pc 50/50 bulb on the tank Does anyone know of any actinics that are s,all enough to hide in back of my other light. I just want a little more blue

I changed up the rockwork this week to make some shelves for all the frags i hope to be gettinge at the swap
Pictures should be up soon

Updated FTS
Hopfully you can see all the goodies from the swap.
I was able to get rid of 1 powerhead due to the mod on this one and Jake's talk on Flow guided me through that. I also redid the rockwork again.

Are we playing a "where's the frag" game? I see some shrooms on the lower left and a hammer on the upper right...

I know there's more but my coral identification skills arent up to par as some of the others on the board!

candycanes top right, cup coral top center, kenya next to that, then hammer. On the bottom next to the shrooms is some gsp, under purple rock is a chili coral and on the branch on right are the blue zoos.
Those are the goodies. I just got some whammin watermellons last night pics will be taken when lights go on.

Looks good, Ron. I like the aquascaping. You've got a lot of nice shelves and nooks & crannies to load up with corals. The pics came out really well, too.

Like your tank a lot how did you put it all together? Feel free to give more details.
I love hawkfish...I had one when my tank was FOWLR ...does yours bother your inverts?

Sorry is your live rock all balanced, glued, or put together in some other way? It looks like it should collapse but I really do like it.

I should start the build on a t5 canopy next week.
I am also looking to can the canister and set up an overflow and a 10 gal sump.
I Think it will make the tank look a lot better
