My 75gl sps dream

Do you know of anyone nearby that has good test kits that you could get a second opinion? With your Mg that low, I'd be surprised if both your Alk and Ca were that high.

Recent parameters.

* 930 mag = gotta bump it up gonna try Randy's recipes

Make sure you use Randy’s newer Mg recipe. The old one produces a bunch of precipitate.

"Using both Epsom salts and MAG flake, dissolve 7¼ cups MAG flake and ¾ cup Epsom salts in one gallon of water……….dissolve each separately in some freshwater before combining them."

I'd like to suggest you refer to the chart in This Link.

Try to keep your Alk / Cal intersection somewhere in the red block. If you don't, you're risking your fish and corals health.

Well it's true, potter angel are not reef safe. Well not mine anyway. I've noticed my sps polyps are not extended like they usually are and upon standing in my tank for a few minutes I see my potter angel just graze back and forth and nip on all my sps frag. Guess I have to take him out and put in another tank. It was doing so well also and eating everything. Sigh.....
