Well as I was driving today on Rt 287 my Corvette decided to become a convertable .
The non-removable roof that is used on the Z06 to save weight and add strength decided to take flight on its own and blow off the car . I am just lucky that it did not kill the poor guy behind me on the motorcycle,or anyone else, thank God . . Luckily it hit nothing . I didn't realize it was gone until I stopped . I went back and actually found it laying there, messed up but in one piece . It wasn't really that bad . Hard to believe nothing hit it on 287 at 2PM . I was with my daughter and she found the whole experience very amusing . You have to love kids .
GM is aware of the problem and had fixed ,or tried to ,my car for the previous owner . The epoxy they used did not bond at all with the roof . They will have to get me a new roof, paint to match and then use there "new" epoxy to put it back on . Funny thing was when the tech guy said he will have to call GM to see what they want to do because they already fixed it. ;D
