My new "reef box"

So over the past few weeks I have been extremely frustrated with my unorganized pile of reef "stuff". Not to mention my girlfriend getting frustrated with me leaving it all on the dining room table...lol. So I was in Home Depot and saw this tool box on sale and picked it up to use to organize my stuff. It seems to be working out pretty well and I still have a good amount of room in it for more stuff.

I also plan on getting a piece of plastic cutting board cut to fit the top so it will double as a fragging station.

I know it's crazy. That's after throwing a good amount of stuff out and condensing other things.

It's funny my tools are all over the place. I may go pick up another one for the tools.

Sweet. What was the sale price? I have a friend that installs corian and granite countertops. He always gives me scraps in almost any size or color of corian. They make awesome fragging stations and I have a smaller one for cutting up squid or krill for feedings. If you want I will ask him for one for you.

I got the box for $90. Now it's no snap on box but it definitely works well for what I'm using it for. It does have the ball bearing sliders for the drawers, a lock and it's on wheels. Overall it's a good box for what I paid. I would definitely be interested in a piece for the top. Please let me know if you come across anything. I have been pricing out some different materials as well.

Thanks matt. I'll get the measurement as soon as I get home. Color doesn't really matter to me. If I had to choose I would say something darker in color.

Maybe you can router a channelaround the edge to collect water and drive it toward a waste line or bucket.

Measurements are 26"x17.5". Does not have to be exact, if it's a bit big I have no problem cutting it down and if it's a bit smaller that's fine too. Thanks again

Great idea. At the very least I should be able to route a channel in like on cutting boards.
