My other "Hobby"

I am a frustrated artist at heart . A good friend of mine has s tarted a clothing line and its starting to take off . He has done some clothing for the UFC ,Pro Boxers and other Sports . I am working on a sculpt of his brand logo . It is very hard to go from a 2-d drawing to an actually 3-D sculpt .
This is a fast (5 minute)1/4 size draft (eyes wrong,no ears,etc..)to see if this is the way he wants to go . The choice was comical or realistic . I am going realistic and about 1/2 real scale (7-8")when complete . Ill post up date pics , let me know what you think, thanks Paul

Five minutes?! wow, thats impressive. It usually takes me significantly longer than that just to do a sketch, then several hours to make my dinky little sketch into a painting- thats if all is going well. Guess its a good thing I haven't quit my day job. You, however, have created art in small fraction of that time. It might not exactly mirror the 2d image, but I think it looks great!
Can't wait to see the updates Paul!

Thanks . The fiv minute part is easy, now onto the full size . Roughung it out now and then will bake and getting into detail . Probably a few months I figure, hopefully faster. I'll post up an evil stewie in a moment .

Cool stuff, Paul. This one and the "Stewie of the Dead" are awesome. I'm so Artistically Declined that I can't even comprehend how you do that kind of thing.

Looking forward to the final pics!

Very cool. I look forward to seeing you take this through to completion. Your 5m work has so much potential and I can really see the 2-D concept coming to life. Great job so far!

No, Not the same person your thinking of . He lives in Bklyn and owns a auto repair/custom shop were I used to do some custom airbrushing . I was looking for a new project and he asked me to sculpt this for him . It sounded like a cool challenge and might lead to other "work" . I am going to go very realistic, down to stiching in hat, skin texture ,etc,.. I plan on using the small mock up one as a one-off car emblem for a custom he is producing . I am going to flow the hat back and sleek the rest of it down. ,give it a feel of motion ..ttys
