i bought a royal pencil wrasse for my 180 a few months ago and he was very playful and always out and about. a fews weeks ago i was feeding my fish and i guess i startled him and he jumped out of water and went on to top of my tank. i quickly pushed him back in and he went right to bottom and buried himself in the sand. it now has been 3-4 weeks and i rarely ever see him. if i walk downstairs i can see him swimming but as soon as i get close to tank he disapears. will he ever recover and go back to normal?
