Myth or Fact - Multiple Angels in One Tank??

Depends on the size of the tank and type of angels. I have seen plenty of tanks with multiple angles of different species and I have seen tanks with harems of the same angel. It seems the common denominator of those tanks is size. I would not put a flame angel and a flame back in a 20 gallon tank, they will fight.

Did you have something in mind or just posing a hypothetical?

Certainly not a complete myth. Think it is more problematic then two tangs less problematic two Siamese fighting fish.

I currently have an emperor, blue face and a french angel. Plan on adding a scribbled and or a queen. All doing well. I also know a person who has at least 5 angels in an eight ft tank . I think its a 265 gallon. IMO there is no one specific factor. Its a combo of factors that make it work such as variation in fish size, genus, aggressiveness (or lack of), time of intro to DT and the tank size. Also, moving around the landscape each time a new angel is introduced helps. Adding other type of fish with the angel may also reduce any initial harassment.

Just hypothetical. I see all these people that ask the same questions over and over. So I figured I'd post a thread just about the situations.

My neighbor Trigger99 has 5 or 6 maybe more in his 210. They all coexist quite well!!
