i noticed my naso tang eating hair algae...is this common?

just curious since i've never read about naso's eating hair algae before.

Tangs are supposed to eat hair Algae, but if this one was Tank Bred and was never on a tank that had algae it may not know that is supposed to do so. Unfortunately if this on is to old and there is no other tang that eat algae it may never learn to do so.

Is your tang tank bred? Is there any other tangs on the same tank?

None of my tangs eat hair algea :( maybe they are just spoiled..lol and maybe some guys just have all the luck...lol gd luck with yr tang Ryan

All fish are different. You can have two of the same and one will eat or act different than the other. One tang might not eat it and one might mow it down. Depends on the tang as an individual not as a specie
