Naso Tang has gone nuts

I have had two 1.5 inch Naso tangs in my tank for about 2 months now. Everything has been going great no issues. Of course I am traveling and my wife is taking care of the tank. On of the Tangs just went ape-sh!t on the other and beat the daylights out of him. Was hunting him down in the tank. A friend came by and caught the victim and put him in the refigium.

Would you guys remove the bully or leave it be? I am not there so I have to advise remotely, which stinks.

You could try either changing the aquascape around which is a royal pain in the arse or try the mirror trick... Put a small mirror in the tank and the bully tang will try and beat-up its mirror image instead of your other fish....

the mirror trick has worked for me many times my kole hates every fish I put in the tank but the mirror works for me every time

The victim has passed on, crap. These were two very pretty Naso tangs that i really liked. If the bully goes after another one of my guys i may need to find a new home for him.

The problem with naso tangs is that you cannot sex them until they are full grown (the male gets the long streamers). Your remaining fish might now be a bully, it may have just been defending its territory if they were both of the same sex. They are gorgeous fish, good luck with the remaining one.

I agree with the gender issue, had that with my maroon clowns. Really stinks. My wife was telling me the 'bully' Naso was going after my Anthias as well, but that could of just been her panicking because i am 3000 miles away when all of this happens.
