My tank was running great for months no all of a sudden im having the following problems
Zoa's half are opening and there not opening fully
Slimer and acros turned brown and now are turning white
Caps developing white stripes almost like bleaching and becoming very pale not bright colors
duncan/dendro opening half way at best
recently started having alot of brown algae on the glass with some bubbles in it
here are my tank reading
nitrate 0
nitrite 0
ph 8.2
Ammonia 0
sg 1.028
Calcium 500
Alk 10.4

Am I missing something any advice would be great maybe I am just overlooking something but im getting frustated

probably worth the couple bucks they cost. any possiblity someone dropped or added something you didnt see? had any recent foam on the surface of the water?

Did the water change. Sg is at about 1.25 now but ive hear these swing arm hydrometers are off about .04 so i might be higher. Maybe I should get a refract and a tds meter anyone know a good place?

What are you using for thermometer? I ask because I had one of those cheap electric ones and it was waaaayyyy off. Caused some of your problems, and even this summer my tank got a bit to warm and got some of those same problems.

I am not running carbon should I? Also I am using one of those electric thermometers I have had problems with them in the past also What is a good therm to use
