Need help - how long can I go without power?

WOW that's almost 36 hours. :confusion: This is the season for preparing for power outages especially when the temperatures spike. Best wishes to all involved.

That's insane. Why is it taking so long? it's not like a hurricane blew through.

There are trees down everywhere, poles snapped in half and everything is just a mess. My neighborhood looks like a war zone. There is still a tree blocking the street. The winds were intense.

Best of luck to all. Just heard on the news that Atlantic City Power won't have everyone on until Sunday.....PSE&G says mid Friday for their customers.

I've been out since 6pm on Tuesday. Years ago I setup 2 battery powered air pumps to come on automatically when the power goes out. Wasn't sure how long they'd keep everything alive, I've got a heavy fish load with my corals. I bought a generator yesterday and set it up at 4pm Wednesday, so at least I know the 2 bubblers can keep everything for at least a day.

1pm Thursday and power is still out in my area and I haven't even seen a PSEG truck in the area, trees took out wires. I'm not sure when we'll see power, but at least we've got the tank and others things working. Darn 10 minute storm did some serious damage.

They are saying it was straight line winds. It flipped one car at the mall and blew out windows on many other cars. A ten minute ride that night took me over two hours to get home. I took detour after detour to get home.

Our power just came back on. That's the longest without power I can remember. Now I know 2 bubblers on a 90 worked for at least 24 hours. Good to know for the future.
