I would like to help and get the clown and nem. Just not sure what assistance I could provide.

I recently got a couple out of my tank. What I did was aggravate it as much as I could. I directed flow from a power head with a piece of ½" tube at the foot at the same time holding a piece of ice on it. I also would "massage" the foot off the rock with my finger like you would roll a sticky paper label off plastic. It took a bit but eventually the animal gave up and started to let go. Once you get it started continue working your finger under the foot forcefully but being careful not to damage the foot. You have to be more determined than the anemone to be successful.

Good Luck. HTH

I did get about half the foot off and gave up as my arm was killing me. I will have to try again. My top priority would be to get the gsm out of mt tank. My new pair of clarkii's in my sump are anxiously waiting. I am having worse luck with this one. I was wondering how fast a paper clip off of a runner band moves through water, or if there are any reef safe BB guns. LOL.

Don't feed them for a day or two than make up a trap like Merv suggested.

Rich,
This may be a dumb question but, how is the fish going to see food in a bottle? Also it looks like she doesn't like frozen and just likes pellets. Is she going to see this in a bottle? She doesn't really ever venture dwon to the bottom of the tank. Do I suspend the bottle?

Thanks,
Ken

Keep it at the bottom Ken, I use mashed up shrimp rubberbanded to a small piec of LR. The fish (es) will smell it, and it helpd to have a few floating pieces in there too, to entice them a bit.

The chromis did not want to go in at first, and would only stick half its head in (hence the fishing line). He stuck his head in again a few nights ago and I yanked that bottle so hard that the chromis got scared and swam into the bottle. (I guess they can't swim in reverse that efficiently, LOL)

I caught my 6-line wrasse the same way too (he was a toughy) I must've caught the shrimp 4 times, the fairy wrasse 6 times, the anthias 1 time............ the yellow tang and Blue tang wouldn't fit in the hole, otherwise I would have caught them too.

Have fun with it. I thougt I was fishing for tog all over again!

I would like it better if it read like this:

Can I throw in. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .my M6?

why do I have a weird feeling that you are actually serious?

I'd love to, but you'll never see your GSM or your M6 ever again!

Ken- try the trap thing. It really does work! Or worse case scenario, you can get a "fish trap" at your LFS for like $26 (make sure no scratches and then return it- I did not say that, I was quoting someone on google :) )

I was serious. You can take the gsm and the nem with you. I just want them out. My 11 year old is also feeling bad for the clarkiis in the sump.

Ken,
I made that bottle trap for my Damsel and doesn't go near it. A smaller fish went in and took out the food. Guess I'll wait and see what happens.

Mark,
I have a feeling my cleaner shrimp will take the food out immediately. They try to get the silverside out of my nem as soon as I feed it. They have a good sense of smell.

I agree doesn't seem a simple as the post indicates. Let's see who catches their fish first...LOL

Good luck
