need help with new lights

i am not sure what to do i switching from t5 to halide 3 250w hqi and 8t5 right know i have coral extreme pro 72 and i am just wondering how i should run my lights to get my coral adjusted to the light

I would increase the height of the light and then gradually lower it a little over a couple of weeks. You can also put some type of netting over the top to diffuse the light. Good luck!

Thats a big jump in lights, I would do like magic said and also shorten the light period . Go slow or you can shock your corals . Also keep an eye on heat now that your adding halides.

Hey what's up dude? Long time no talk. these guys gave you good advice. I would say only run the MH for a few hours a day at first.

I agree with the previous posts. You are doin a big jump in lighting. Starting the light high and gradually bringing it down is a great idea. Hope it all works out for you.
