Need LOTS of help!!!

My temporary 55 that everything is in while I rebuild is looking like carp...I've been doing 2 water changes a week but I just lost a chromis and my bellus today.

I either need to either find a foster home for my sailfin tang and fox face or another tank just for them to keep the bio load down.

A HOB skimmer would be great...anything to help me with this would be awesome.

I've decided not to take the 2 weeks to bleach my rock so Ican get the tank up and running sooner.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Steve, will you be by the Dive Shop anytime soon? I have a 24g nanocube and/or a 12g biocube you can borrow if you need it.

The nano has a hood and the lights work, but the fans in the hood that keep the lights cool don't work. If you had it on short time span for the lights or maybe rigged up another fan somehow, it might be ok. You can also just remove the lid and use another light source instead. This tank also has a Sapphire nano skimmer that came with it, but I'm not sure if it works. I bought this setup from Olivier for Sea Horses but never got around to putting it up. Also includes the return pump from the back chambers.

The biocube has no hood or lights, just an open top. This one has an external Pan World pump and holes cutout in the in the back wall for a closed loop that puts some great flow in the small tank. I also have a custom made rack that drops into the back chamber on the left.... you put carbon, gfo, chemi-pure, filter floss, sponges, etc... whatever you want on each shelf. I used this tank as my QT tank for all of my fish (no chemicals ever used, just a 1-month observation period).

Anyway, let me know if you want to use either or both. I can either drop them at the Dive Shop or meet you up there if you'll be around.

btw, if you wanna fix the fans in 24-nano. call jbj at 1-877-374-9981 and tell them you want a circuit board for the fans. when you remove the bulbs and then the screws in the sheet metal you will see the board under it. one one screw holding it in. the board is only 10bucks and about 5 to ship.

Thanks repo. Yea, I was aware of that and was thinking about buying one from nanotuners (before they went out of business). But I also considered just switching it over LED's and replacing everything with a kit. I also got a price quote from JBJ to replace the entire lid for $157.50 (which included new ballasts, lights, and fans). Still not sure which way I want to go, but maybe I will just order the new fan board and get it working.
