can anyone please let me know where can I buy some livesand or argonite sand? I need 70lbs. I bought some from home depot but the sand does not show good sign. It has brown slammy thing on the sand.

As David mentioned, you can typically get aragonite from a local fish store. Out of curiosity, what type of sand did you get from Home Depot?

Got any pictures of the brown slime?

Hey deadcpu,

you need to get some aragnite sand, not that stuff they have at h/d. If you can, pull that stuff out, and get some sand from Caribsea or any other Aragonite sand if you want good sand to use, imo. You can get some live sand via the Reeftopia group buy at 16 for 2 lbs. or get sopmething to charge your sand up from a fellow reefer in the club. I am curious also, what sand did you get from Home depot?

I will take the picture of the slimy sand I bought from Home Depot. The sand i bought was a playsand with blue color title kaloscape (spelling).

I will take all of that sand out of my tank (get all the salt water out first, I need a big tank to hold that 120 gallons of saltwater). and replace the sand. Jabis96, I will take your sand. Please let me know how much is it cost so I can refund you.
