Need to run an CFGI outlet, need help.

Guys, I plugged one of these in the outlet:

it lights up, Hot/Neu Reverse. Can that be whats tripping the CFGI?

You found the problem. You have to switch the wires around.

Did you plug that into the wall outlet and found the wires are reversed?

yes, plugged it in, thats what it showed me. so just switch them, got it?

I tested few other outlets, some of them do the same thing. Is this a dangerous thing? I completely dumb when comes to electrical.

I would check your circuit breaker first since you found a few outlets like that. They all might be on the same breaker and it might be wired backwards.
Looking at the back of the outlet, the neutral (white wire) should always be wired to the same side as the ground wire is on. (green screew)
Make sure you turn off the power before playing with electric.

dangerous... not really.. mostly everything we use in our homes will work either way.. But its not a big deal to correct... Make sure the circuit is off at the breaker and then the black wire should be on the brass screw of the outlet and the white wire goes to the silver screw of the outlet.. Barewire or Green wire goes to the Green Screw..

I got the circuit off, outlet looks a bit complicated:

The 3 black wires should be on the other side where the white wires are and visa versa.

The white wires should always be on the same side as the green ground screew.

You have 2 other power supplies coming off of that outlet . So when you correct this one, 2 others will be corrected.

If you want an instant cycle, you can buy a bag of BIO-Speria and add things the next day.
I never did the shrimp thing so not sure. I'm impatient and used Bio-Speria on all my starting up tanks.
