So the other day my wife had me put up a new tank it's 18 ft in diameter 48 inches in depth holds about 7648 gallons.. after fighting to get it on level surface and connecting the pump I now have it cycling I'm currently using a over head light source called SOL it seems to be putting out a great wave length of light.. I'm looking for ideas on stocking

Hmmm! I believe they call them above ground pools! I might suggest stocking with kids, but you and your wife could also stock it and still have fun. 
Yup, unfortunately having trouble with water quality from my well water filling clear about halfway then went to a rust orange color... believe basically we are over taking the Wells water supply .. gonna have a talk with the well guy as this is a brand new well systemHmmm!
