Is anybody running one on a 75 gallon tank or bigger?.......are you happy with it?

I ran mine on a 45g cube and was happy with them. I have the jumbos now and am still happy with them.

Do you think it would work good on about 85 gal total water?

Depends on what you are running in it. Different medias will require different volumes of media. Check which one you are going to use and roughly how much you will need. BRS has a nifty calculator on their site to help you figure it out.
