NJRC 2008 Officers

Big thanks to all of the people who volunteered to run for an office this year. Thanks also goes out to the 40 people who turned out to vote. 20% less than last year's voting base in spite of an increase in membership. I think it is really important to note that without the participation of the membership, the things we can do as a club are greatly diminished. We really need everyones input and help, where the time is available!

We're expecting to have a very exciting 2008. We've got the planning for the frag swap under way and our bid for MACNA '09 ready to be submitted. We're going to need brochures designed, a MACNAXXI website up and running, and a marketing campaign... Just to get to September of '08 where we begin accepting vendors & attendees at this year's MACNA. We need to be ready! Anyone with marketing, graphics design, or Joomla experience, and a lot of extra time should contact an officer to join the committee!

I'm looking forward to a great year!

PS...I dunno Phyl....acceptance of frags as "gifts" might be construed as a willingness to pay "special attention" to lobbyists' requests That's a crime punishable by you having to "accept" all those Kenya Trees offered so far ;D

Congratulations Hawkeye (AKA Phil519) for winning against such a worthy opponent. Thank you for volunteering to take on the secretary position. In this year of MACNA it will be a critical task to keep us focused and on task.

Pfft! Rich, you were a very active member of the board when your work allowed. We were happy to have you on board and miss you terribly already! You even did a great job at disguising exactly how much you hated note-taking! Thanks again for your service to the club and we look forward to a time when you can participate more.

Thanks so much to all of the officers who took the time out of their lives and away from their families to serve the NJRC Community. SOOOOO much goes on behind the scenes here and it wouldn't be possible without the dedication and energy of the officers.

Special thanks to Brian, my long time right arm and Vice President. You've been such a huge help and moral support for the last 3 years. It will be weird serving my last term without you.

Thanks also to RichT who has been a HUGE driving factor in the history of NJRC and getting us to MACNA.

Thanks to all who chose to run (again) this year, in the face of MACNA and all that means. We will need lots of help from the membership to help make it a great success, so those of you who are interested in helping just let us know!
