Great investigative work, Paul. However please red post #5. East brunswick has the dried nori. I picked up 20 packets 2 weeks ago.

Sunny, thanks for the heads up....however, the two times I went in there after their renovations, I did find the nori on the isle end, close to the cash registers, and across from a counter with a person (maybe herb counter), and they did not have the non-roasted type. Actually not a very large selection at all. This is when I attempted to ask, and only found non-english speaking people. So if you purchased the non-roasted, it has to be relatively new...because it wasn't there the two times I was.

I will definitely check them out again (although H-Mart was so clean and nice). However, it's going to be some time before my fish eat this current batch. :D

Paul

Maybe you should give out some samples for this stuff. If it is good than for the price it is really cheap. I will contact the importer today and see if I can get that $59.99 pack and whoever needs to take some can take it from me.

Just checked into the link. All of the nori is roasted. Is there a real concern in getting roasted vs non-roasted seaweed?

Paul, Glad you find HMart. For those whom like Wings, check out the chicken place near it. They are made korean style, and are amazing. I haven't tried the ones at this location, but the ones in Fort Lee are to die for. If you are sceptical read this NY time article:

Now I'm hungry with all the talk of seaweed, mention of sushi and food markets....

you got that right! NJRC Sushi Trip? haha

BOOM BOOM Chicken is name of the place!! You guys have to try their soy garlic wings... drooool...

You also have to check out Tous Les Jours, the pastry place by the corner.
