Not a good morning

Don't think the melanarus wrasse made it as I cannot find it. Its always out and about swimming; will see.

On top of that realized my skimmer is not working; will have to pull out later and see what's wrong.

Skimmers are so frustrating sometimes and smelly

So you posted yesterday that the wrasse had spots.
General questions popping in my head...
Did anyone ID them? Do they look like any common disease?
If it is a disease do wrasses hole up when ill?
If it is dead, what can kill it so quickly?

So the wrasse is still alive with the same spots. It seems to be eating or looks like it is.

The skimmer started working again. saw huge junk of gunk come out of it and hope to give a good clean this weekend.

I picked up a nice size Mandarin over the weekend, not from Petco. My wife noticed this white stuff floating the bag that I did not see in the tank.
I made sure to acclimate and remove al source water before adding and to DT and now wondering if its a coincidence or not.
Nothing else appears impacted just the wrasse and mandarin is out and about.
