Ocean Pods order

anyone willing to split a order from OceanPods.com ? I need 2 bottles and they offer free shipping if you order 4 or more. I would like to place the order ASAP like within the next day or 2.

I've actually thought of placing an order with them, but then I'd need you to turn around and ship it to me, so it'd be no real help.

Sorry...I've heard really good things about that place, though!

Damon,
You could always pick it up here. Plus I could give you some green star polyps :) How's the brown one's doing?

You can go right over to the Pet Shanty and pick up and 1 of the 4 or 5 varieties they have in bottles for 5 cents cheaper then online.. heh.. no shipping of course. He does not have any in stock atm, but will have them either on Wednesday or Friday this week. Just an FYI

Trying to bribe me with polyps, eh? You're just too far away for me right now. Hell, I barely made it home from your house in that crap-box I call a car. It lost all power before I even got to your place, then windshield wipers quit about when i hit 33, headlights at about Monroe, and in Jamesburg I lost all dash lights. Luckily the engine didn't die till I was backing into my driveway.

And the coral, other than having a hard time keeping it down, it's doing great. It's actually noticably bigger than when I got it from you. But I have all these big snails that like to mess up everything in my tank, and the one i got from you ends up kind of flapping in the current.

But it (and everything else in my tank) seems to be enjoying the water, so I can't complain!

That place is too far north. not worth the drive. plus it would cost more in tolls and gas than on-line especially if he doesn't have it...lol

mynd,

thank to the info... i will stop by this week... the place is about 10 mins from my house, and it is short of on my way home too...
;D

Yeah I figured I'd try a bribe :) I thought you were in Trenton? I'm a straight run off 195 exit right after Great Adv. rt537 freehold. 2nd light make right 571 straight to Toms River.... can you tell I'm still trying to talk you into it ;)

it's $25 a bottle 4 or more and shipping is free, I'm using one for the tank and one to start culturing my own. It cant hurt to add one to your tank, especialy if you plan on getting a mandarin or a scooter blennie.

Thanks so much for the info. :)
Isn't it much too early to think of a Mandarin for me though? Ok, now please don't mock me because I added the nem. :-[ I know how paradox it is/was.

If you could wait with that order until May, then I'm in. I love Paydays.

note:

adding pods to your tank may not guarantee your Mandarin have enough food to eat, cause IF you have other fishes in the tank, it is most likely they will get to the pods before the Mandarin did.

that is why many people end up with putting the beautiful Mandarin in their sump at last.

There is other reasons to have pods not just for mandarins, the rule of thumb is to have at least 75lbs of live rock before keeping one mandarin. I plan on culturing my own with one of the bottles I get, unless you want to come to my house and pick them out of my fuge for me:)

my scooter blenny and man have been fine in the tanks for a long time never heard anyone putting it in there fuge unless they didn't have enough live rock or didn't know how to care for them.

Wendy you should wait on a Mandarin, but if you want a good source of live food (plus pods are debris eaters) then it wouldn't hurt getting them. It's up to you, it is very easy to setup a culture tank/bowl, I plan on ordering later tonight or tomorrow am.

Just figure I offer to share the buy so someone else could take advantage of free shipping...
