Saw this ebay post. Seemed like a awesome deal. Read some more about the company online, and found that it is an Asian company, as opposed to Current USA, that apparently has some European connection.
Would anyone have an opinion on the company, the products and the customer service.

.. read some posts that this ctches fire, wouldnt want that to happen even though I have 70 gallons of water handy :)

i have a 216w 4x54 t5 ho fixture

i just upgraded my bulbs today with
2x ati blue+
2x ati aquablue special

the difference between stock bulbs and these bulbs is amazing! but overall the odyssea fixture has yet to fail on me. running about a month and a half. it does get pretty hot though.

i had an old 24" coralife and jbj fixtures and they got just as hot. i ran a regular mini fan over it before and it did the job tremendously. so during the hot months i'll be running a fan over it as well.

Odyssea's are known to fail around the 6-8 month time frame sometimes you get lucky and they last over a year. Keep in mind none of the odyssea fixtures are UL listed and certified, so check with your home owners insurance and make sure if they cause a fire you"ll be covered, some policy's will not cover fire damage caused by faulty none UL listed products.

I am in the same boat as Jim. I like the Catalina 8X54 a lot. Does not run as hot as my 2X54 bulb Nova Extreme.

I use the 24" on the 29gal.
I have two pieces of acrylic on the top of the tank as a partial cover and the legs of the unit just sit on them...
They have added a quiet little fan to the 24" unit and it keeps the ballest cool..
The unit does work pretty well though..
I havent had any issues so far.
