Oh no he didn't, oh yes he did 180 gal build

You don't

First off My dosing and and measurements are courtesy of the following academic/anecdotal/and scientific reports

Secondly.

Marine velvet is in your tank. I have heard of people going fallow for 6 months, a year, only Inverts and Coral, and Add a fish only to get it back. - I won't take a chance on waiting that kind of time and I don't think you should either. The only way I felt comfortable about treating the velvet was a 3 Tiered Approach.

#1 - No fish/No inverts/No Coral - why Fallow? Wtf for?

I advise you to Drain the Tank, Fill it with Fresh water, Dump in 2 Bottles of Hydrogen Peroxide and run it Fresh for 2/3 Days.
At the end of the Time Drain the Tank, Flush Water through the Sand and Rocks, Refill with RODI, Add Salt and Mix.
Throw in 2 (8 Oz) Bottles of BioSpira and a shrimp and wait for a few days. Good time to buy Fish and quarantine them have fun shopping ( it will keep your spirits up.)
After a few days Start up your bio-pellets, GFO, Carbon, Get your Refugium pumping. Throw in a Cleanup crew.

#2 - Kana-Pro/Metro-Pro your Fish

Grab some Kana-Pro and/or Metro-Pro- The Kana is antibiotics which will stop your fish from having secondary infections.

Benefits:
You Nuke Crypto, Velvet, Black Ich, and almost 100% of Reef Parasites in your tank. Your tank is fresh. Thanks to science you don't have to wait 6 months before adding fish without knowing if the aids in your tank is gone. Thanks to science you can also finish your cycle weeks faster (which is time your fish are in qurantine anyway.)
You have a sink/drain/host near by so a small pump is all you need to flush your tank once or twice.
Hydrogen and other chems are stripped from your tank using carbon and poly filters no contamination or binding

Cons:
You nuke your biofilter.
No fish for 3 weeks. That's 3 weeks of buying new fish and Quarantine. Be discerning. You had a yellow tang right? Ever seen some of Sunny's tangs? I'd murder all my tangs if it wasn't cruel and I didnt love them to buy some of the tangs i've never seen in my life in sunny's tank.

i'm sorry this happend but for the cost of water, 3 bottles of hydrogen peroxide, some time and effort you will be back on trak.

1. DRAIN TANK
2. FILL WITH FRESHWATER <RO WATER OR SALT WATER?>
3. 2 bottles of hydrogen peroxide
4. RUN FOR 3 days
5. Drain Tank
6. Flush water through sand?
7. Dunk Rocks in RO
8. Refill w/ RODI, ADD SALT, MIX
9. 2 bottles of biospira & shrimp
10. Wait a few days
11. Start up gfo, carbon, fuge, poly filter
12. Add CUC
13. Once fish done being QT'D - ADD
-
#2 - Use Kana-Pro/metro-pro on fish to treat secondary infections
-
#3 - the yellow tang and melanrus wrasse look good so far, I'll probably sell them since I hate the melnarus and the yellow tang I'd want to add later

#4 does this seem right/correct?

All your flushing is done with fresh water from the tap. So is the running with fresh water, Velvet is not good with fresh water it can't live. The flushing is to rid the tank of any detritus, hair algae remnants, cysts and hydrogen peroxide. Between the fresh water and hydrogen peroxide velvet and ich are gonna have a real bad time

Run it with ro for the 3 days if your worried about binding phosphates (they won't )

The fresh flush is in and out water so it's not like it will be there for days and days

I don't mind using the ro maker, I'd prefer to avoid any issues w/ our water because it is well water and high as heck in tds.

What is the hydrogen peroxide going to do? 2-3 bottle in 180 gallons of water....does it really have any effect at all? Won't everything die without it with just freshwater?

Brandon....I wouldn't worry about the well water. It takes forever to fill a 180 and sump with an RO Unit, you know that! The TDS of the well water really isn't going to do anything or lech anything into your tank that will make it bad. But to flush 2-3 times with RO is going to take FOREVER! And that is A LOT of wasted water!

I ordered an additional 50 lbs of rock from reef rocks. Anyone want to come to an aquascaping party :)? I'll provide food and beverages :).

I got my 20 gallon ato container in place, originally I was going to keep it under the fuge stand, but to access the pump/tank itself was a pita.

I also started on my wiring center, since all my fish died I have only the return & heaters going at this time. Once I add back on my WP60 and other powerheads I'll add more wires etc.

I have a jebao DC12000 on order, plan is to build a manifold to run my reactors, the fuge, my return, and whatever else I think of.

I wish I had a basement.....sigh. I mean, look at the ply board with all that space for stuff. Darn!

lol I had to put the plywood up because otherwise it is a pain in the *** to mount the eb8s etc.

In addition when I build the manifold I plan on mounting it to the very bottom of the board for support.

Thankfully that area is the dedicated laundry/fish room/boiler area so how it looks doesn't really matter to much. Minus my OCD with wiring.

Or you can do what I did build one for 60 dollars

Old horrible one that I threw together

My dad's a carpenter and I still suck with wood working. No where near his level. But this hobby's turned me to a chemist, marine biologist, master plumber, master baiter (for fishing you dirty old man), and hydro dynamics expert.

O and I built that hole thing with a screw driver measuring tape and a hammer. (Lol)

So you grew up with a love of wood, jajaja. My rock order should be here on Friday and I'm going to go through the process of draining/emptying the sand/crying.
