I have a won bros titanium with a digital controller set at 79. This morning i went in to basement and my controller was still set at 79, but the water temp display was at 92!!! Of course I cursed up a storm but then i checked with a lifeguard digi-temp that i have and it was only 80. phew. Long story short i messed wit it but i guess the sensor is messed up so the whole thing is now in the garbage. So now i have 3-75w visitherms in there luckily i had them, why i had 3 i have no clue. My ? is what is a good choice for a heater. i looked at the new jbj 300 watt digitals, accuracy to .5 of a degree. but i dont know if i want all my eggs in 1 basket. I was thinkin of 3 smaller- 100 watt of somethin. This way if 1 stuck on it would take a while to fry the tank and hopefully i would catch it, or if one crapped out the other 2 would prob keep up till i noticed. Is there any controller i can hook up to a heater as a back up, So if the heater ever stuck on and went past the set temp on the controller it would shut it down? Im not familiar with controllers at all so i dont know if this is possible.
