Bahhh!! If you hooked it up yesterday or this morning I could have brought you some tubing, I got some extra kicking around!!!

any home depot, lowes or general hardware store will have Ro/DI tubing. it is the same as refrigerator water line tube. very cheap as well.

Thanks Brian, we appreciate the thought.
Xavier, wew may swing by one of those stores this evening, thank you for the suggestion.

I have to say it was pretty funny to watch the cat that chomped on the tubing get annoyed that he was being sprayed by water and that his paws were wet when he came into the bathroom to check out the ro/di unit tubing again.

Nikki you told me that was a NICE cat. LOL

I believe I said he was friendly and that he loves people (both of which are true). I made no comments about his destructiveness (as my mother always says, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all).

Cats are so weird....

I caught CJ's cat trying to steal an eye dropper that CJ uses to feed his NPS. Jumped up and grabbed it and started to wander away with it. Probably just liked the squishy bulb up top and wanted to chew on it.

I can relate. You know the syringes that come with test kits?
The kitten likes to eat the plastic plungers. Kind of difficult to draw solution out of a reagent bottle without a syringe. Me and the kitten might have gotten into a fight if mike hadn't saved the day by finding a spare for me!

So I picked up new tubing and am filling the rodi bucket as we speak. Crisis averted.

Time for a story and some pictures.

Every weekday morning we pretty much have the same schedule, I wake up and am out the door then Nikki wakes up when I leave, lets the kittens out, gets ready, puts the kittens away and then she is out the door. This morning she was getting the cats together when our F5 Savannah, Diablo, was not coming to her when called. She took a look at him and he had one half of our new dracula goby pair in his mouth. We had put the pair in our 57g on Sunday and the tank is covered but he still managed to jump out which drew the attraction of the kitten. Nikki grabbed the still alive dracula goby and threw him back in the tank. He was still alive and swimming but obviously freaked the hell out. We both came home from work and we just saw both of them out so for now they are both fine. Here is the one that jumped now in a position that he thinks is safe.

DIABLO! Drop IT!!!

Nice save Nikki! You've managed to pick out another Goby favorite of mine. I like his spot too.

I would have to agree with J. Nothing like escaping the jaws of a predator to make you think twice about jumping into his clutches again!

Great save Nikki! And cool story Mike.
