Hello, I had purchase an item through a company that sells on ebay, paid through paypal & seller had my correct address, paypal & ebay address both the same & had the same address over 15yrs, never made any changes. The seller shipped the item (and I don't think they used the ebay checkout to print shipping label) when I check tracking it says delivered. I called fedex gave them my tracking # & they said its been delivered. I told them that I have not received the package & they ask my for my address, they checked it & told me it was delivered to another address in my town & the shipper send it to that address. They told me they can't give me the address it was delivered to since it company policy, only the shipper could get it. What can I do know? it shows its been delivered in my town but not to my address, if I file a claim it going to show delivered & I'm afraid the claim will close & loss $380, paypal is just probably going to ask the seller for the tracking number & it will show delivered & close my case. How can I get the proof the seller send it to a different address, fedex told me it was shipped to a different address & that's all I got. Never had this problem before, don't know what I can do, need advice on what I should do, help!

that sounds annoying but i wouldnt worry too much. im pretty sure youre protected by paypal and ebays buyer protection policy and its pretty clear that it wasn't delivered to your address. sounds like the seller made a typo or something when writing the address, he/she will probably end up liable if they cant recover the package.

make sure paypal has your address listed as "confirmed" if not you might have a problem getting it fixed
I contact the seller told him I haven't received the package & he keeps saying its been delivered at your address & left on front porch. I explain the situation to him but looks like he doesn't believes me.
You will be fine. Open a claim on eBay and explain that it got shipped to wrong address. They will make it right either by a refund, getting the item shipped to you or a eBay/paypal refund. This happens a lot and it will be handled. Try not to lose too much sleep over it.

Contact the seller again and explain you DID NOT receive the package and ask for proof of delivery. On the proof of delivery, it should give you the address it was delivered to.
Once you get that, it might be easier just to drive over to the shipped to address and politely ask if they received your package by mistake. I'd bring all the paperwork with you to show what you bought, where you bought it, and that it was shipped to their address instead of yours.
Never know, they may just hand it over and not have any use for it.
On the other hand, if they deny it and don't hand it over... you will have to file a complaint with Ebay and PayPal to try to get reimbursed.
Remember, just because the package was delivered doesn't mean that you received it. The shipper will need to prove that he shipped it TO YOU in order to get the case closed.

seller only responsible is address is confirmed with paypal,that's why a lot of ebay sellers will only ship to confirmed address. hope this works out and the stuff doesn't/didn't die
Yes, my shipping address is confirmed with paypal & I have the same address with ebay, fedex told me he shipped it to another address in my town but they can't give me that address since its company policy. I had order a helix pond skimmer so I hope it doesn't die, lol.

If confirmed then the seller should be responsible
Open the claim with eBay and get things rolling. Going through the seller is a polite way to get things started but when that doesn't work it is time to put the matter in official hands to get sorted out. PayPal probably has a similar program for situations like this but I have never had to use it. I know they have buyer protection policies so you do have options.
