so i just picked up this amazing coral from LA but i was curious about it placement. I have it in a direct flow about 10 inches away from a marineland reef capable light. It says moderate lighting on the LA website and i have it directly under my light but half under the center brace of my tank. I was curious is this was an acceptable placement for the frag. I don't have that specific coral, but if it's anything like my finger leather, it should be fine just about anywhere. Just keep an eye on it (like that will be hard to do with it being new) and make sure it's opening up. Again, if it's like my leather, they can and usually will close up on occation for up to a week for no reason. It sounds like where you have it should be fine, so just enjoy it and see how it's doing there. If it's been a few days and it doesn't appera to be opening up, then try moving it to another spot, maybe with less flow. Some leathers do like direct flow.
