Paly killin time - advice welcome

So, I got this rock
Big rock I like.
Its nice and bacteria seedy.
I ignored a few green palys on it.
What could a few palys do?

Now I have this...


So.
Plan:
Remove crusties and sticks (they're being moved anyway).
Remove rock.
Kill Palys.
That last step is the rub.
How to kill?

Thought.
Scrape/peel them off,.
Pour something on the remains {perhaps high proof hydrogen peroxide}.

Good idea?
Bad idea?
Better ideas?

If you don't want them I'd sell the rock,your putting yourself in a very bad place scraping palys.

Yeah. Plan was gloves and goggles out on the back deck. I like the rock and its the largest, by far, in the tank. Hoping to salvage it.
Was considering a Dremel with a cutter blade to try to remove a surface layer but don't think its possible.
Another option is to just break it up, but its pretty ideal for scaping as it is.

Nope. You can play kalk paste over the palys to kill them (and anything else it touches).

Agree here!! If you take it out you can use a Flat screwdriver to peel them off and even go as deep in the rock as possible!! I would try the kalkwasser whatever you could not get. Also do it outside with protection

OK, so I'm going to pull the rock tomorrow, bring it to the back deck, submerge it, and see if there's any way to do some surgery and maintain the bulk of it.
If not, I'll just trash it (unless anyone wants a rock full of palys (think they're CJs)).
I need to get this done quick and with the amount of palys in there I'm afraid that a mass kalk attack will throw off alk.

I froze them on porch for 4 days , then vinegar bath for a week, scrubbed, cooked in a brute with to water. after putting them back in tank a few weeks later those @&$& buggers came back with a vengeance!
