pH Alarms

Howdy,

What do y'all keep your alarm thresholds set at? I am curious if I am being to strict, I get alarms all day, but I am wondering if people jack it to like 9 just to get when there is a serious problem rather just day swing high and low?

my alarms will go off at 7.71 and 8.36, i try to keep my ph as stable i can but the closer i can get it is from 7.9 to 8.2

I just calibrated both my probes and I know my frag tank wasn't a good calibration. But I see 8.23 to 8.58 on my newer Apex with a good calibration.

anyone use the cheap pH probes available for like $20?
just the hand held dip testers?
